I was invited to a pre-wedding party, “aheng”, equivalent to a bachelors party. From what I was told, it’s a three days celebration before the wedding. The party started at 9 at night and went until late. Chairs were lined around in the neighborhood as people sat or doing circle dances for hours straight. I don’t know how Albanians do it, but they can dance for hours. Very festive people.
Lights at midnight, after the festive dance.
Dancing on chairs.
Zhiro in the main part of Berat at midnight.
Snippy Me dancing with the soon-to-be wedded couple.
